Region IV Facility Operations Committee – Overview and Upcoming Opportunities
In its first year, the Region IV Facility Operations Committee was created to provide Facility Operations professionals an opportunity to collaborate across our region and provide resources to better serve Region IV. This committee works to support, provide guidance, and enhance departments on a safe re-opening as well as provide guidance on everyday operations. The major focus of the Facility Operations Committee is to better inform the region with practices that others are utilizing, providing specific examples of operating procedures and assessing the entire region to best keep members safe.
In this brief conversation, Committee Chair Jeana Carow and Co-Vice Chair Johnny Keefer (other Co-Vice Chair Taylor Crabtree was unable to join) talk about the goals of their committee and highlight a few upcoming opportunities for you to connect and contribute:
Region IV Facility Operations Committee Survey
The Facilities Committee created a survey to gather region-specific information on reopening planning and implementation in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. While there are incredible resources within NIRSA and from other entities, gathering individual institution-specific information will help the Facilities Committee ultimately help our region as whole.
The preferred date to respond to this survey is Friday, August 7. If you have any questions regarding this survey, feel free to reach out to any member of the committee.
Region IV Facility Operations Committee Round Table Series
In an effort to connect consistently throughout the year, the Facilities Committee will be organizing remote round table conversations to collaborate and connect across the region regularly. The first installment of this series will take place Tuesday, August 11, from 11A-12:30P Central Time. The Communications Committee has created a Facebook Event; feel free to RSVP, as well as invite a colleague.
