Member Spotlight – Amy Davenport

As March marks Women’s History Month, Region IV would like to highlight a number of female colleagues! For this Member Spotlight, we feature Dr. Amy Davenport of the University of Oklahoma. Amy is the Director of Fitness and Recreation at OU, a role she has served in since 2004! In addition to the department’s top position, Amy also serves the OU community as a yoga instructor, as well as teaches water fitness classes.

This should come as no surprise, as Amy has been an avid athlete much of her life. “I grew up playing soccer, basketball, softball, tennis and swimming. I have always been a firm believer that the mind and body work better when connected through activity.”
