Member Spotlight - Jeana Carow
Jeana graduated with a Bachelors of Science, studying Recreation Management, from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse in August 2011. As part of her studies, she completed a semester internship at Valparaiso University with their Recreational Sports Department. She then moved to New Hampshire to obtain a Masters of Science in Recreation Management and Policy while serving as a graduate assistant for Campus Recreation with a specialty in Informal Recreation, Risk Management, and Student Development.
In 2013, she assumed the role of Coordinator of Facility Operations and Membership Services at Florida Atlantic University, where she served until May 2016. In June 2016, she assumed the Assistant Director, Facilities role for University Recreation at the University of Arkansas. Jeana is currently a doctoral candidate in the U of A’s Doctor of Education, Higher Education Administration program.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their Great Dane, Henry, and two cats. She loves exploring Northwest Arkansas for outdoor adventures and great eats.
